Ben 10 earrings by evilkillerpoptarts Ben 10 earrings by evilkillerpoptarts
So, a coworker's son's girlfriend makes origami lucky stars. Thinking they are a) awesome and b) would be really cool to make jewelry out of, I bought... oh... 750 of them. In the lot were a bunch of stars made with Ben 10 paper. Now, I happen to know Paul Eiding, who is Grandpa Max's voice actor, so I thought it would be cool to make up earrings and offer him a pair or two. I made seven pairs of earrings with the stars in my assortment, and he picked out a pair for his wife. I sent him the stars that were mismatched, too, and put the remaining six pairs up for sale on my Etsy page.

Just before the holidays, he contacted me, wanting to know if he could buy however many I could make to give away as trivia contest prizes at a convention in Australia after the new year. I quickly contacted my coworker, and got my hands on 24 more stars. Thus, the mega lot was born: nineteen pairs of earrings, and another handful of loose stars that didn't have friends.

I hope these go over well at the convention. They were really fun to make!

Thanks! I'm hoping my origami artist can find more Ben 10 paper for me. I've got a lot of other stars but I'm officially out of Ben 10 stars.

Well, if you're going to a Ben 10 convention in Australia, hit up Paul Eiding. XD I'm out of stars and my origami artist hasn't found more Ben 10 paper yet.

FFFFFF you KNOW Paul Eiding!? Holy crap, I almost peed myself when I met him at the one and only BotCon I've ever managed to attend. I was seriously shaking and almost in tears when I got my chance to talk to him (because I'm terrified of people, particularly if I have a tremendous amount of respect for them). He was SUPER NICE to me, though, and even gave me a hug. T_T

That being said, these are incredibly cute! Are you planning to sell any more paper star jewelry in your Etsy shop?

Well, we're facebook friends and talk on facebook sometimes, so I'd say I know him. I met him at the first BotCon I had a table at, so I guess it was 2010? It was in Orlando. He is SUPER nice. ^_^

Thanks! Yes, I am planning to make more paper star jewelry. I still have nearly 750 of them. XD Just need to figure out what to make!
